Cabin Life
Each year our family gets together and rents a few cabins on Lake Allatoona. In the summer we spend our time swimming, boating and hiking and in the winter we build bonfires, hike and explore the historic sites that surround the lake.
For this visit, family drove in from Ohio, North Carolina and Florida to ring in the New Year at the lake.
One of our favorite places that we visited was a battlefield called Pickett's Mill. We spent a rainy afternoon traipsing through the woods, reenacting battle scence and exploring the historic site.
Another one of our favorite things about our trip was spending our nights playing Cards Against Humanity with our cousins Brad, Jonathan, Caitie, Michael, Patrick and Adam and Leon, the German foreign exchange student. This crude game led to nights filled with constant giggling and debate.
We had a great time spending time with our family at the cabin. Bonfires, snow flurries, clay covering our shoes...it was the perfect week. Maybe next time we'll be able to hit the lake...
