Relaxing in Grand Turk

This was the Caribbean we were used to: vibrant hues of blue, gentle white caps and fabulous white sand beaches lined with palm trees and loungers. Grand Turk hadn't changed at all since Elle visited there for her brother's wedding in 2009.

We had one mission during our stay in Turks & Caicos: find aloe and relax. Truth be told, we were fried from our adventure in Aruba two days before. Apparently spending all day in the back of a Jeep with no sunscreen on was a bad idea and boy were we paying for it today. We hit up the stores to buy a couple of large shirts to keep us covered when we were in the water and stocked up on aloe before we hit the beach.

Under the shade of the palm trees, we spent the late morning taking advantage of free wifi, reading and enjoying the scenery. We explored the beach a bit and did a little swimming until our tummies grumbled.

We enjoyed a few drinks and shared a Cheeseburger in Paradise at Margaritaville before heading back to the ship. Sure, it wasn't as action packed as our days in Bonaire and Aruba, but it was perfect nonetheless. A day of simply relaxing was exactly what we needed.
