Hello Fall
My favorite time of year is here! It's time to break out the boots, sweatshirts and plaid and cozy up on the couch to spend all weekend watching football. Okay... so maybe we're still in shorts and flip flops but it's pumpkin season nonetheless. Pumpkin Spice Latte's, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin ravioli, you get the idea.
This weekend we put away our red, white and blue decor of summer and broke out the taupe, orange and greens of fall.
Here's our tablescape for the season. The tray is a staple, we keep it out year round. I inherited the crock (turned upside down to serve as a stand for the pumpkin) and the Irish Whiskey jug from my grandmother. These two items were also a fixed part of our summer tablescape. I picked up the pumpkin salt and pepper shakers last season and the pumpkin is a new addition. I found it at Target for less than $5.
We also found these amazing galvanized metal napkin rings for $5 in Target's Dollar Spot. I got a pack of 4 for $5. They are going to go perfectly with the galvanized metal charger plates I'm getting for Christmas (thanks mom!).
Can we take a second to talk about my love for these neutral colored pumpkins? As I was browsing Pinterest for decorating ideas for the season, I fell in love with tan and white pumpkins. They are so much more attractive than the traditional orange pumpkins. I was stoked to find them in Target's Dollar Spot!
Mom gave me several of these chunks of wood to incorporate into my decor this season. I feel a chalkboard paint project coming on!
This chalkboard from ($3 at Target) is another one of today's purchases. You can never have too much chalkboard or pumpkins!
The first hint of Halloween has also made an appearance. I'll be adding a few Spooktacular touches in October, but to check out what our humble abode looked like last Halloween click here. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time <3
